From the 1980s here is a lovely lace wedding gown

It is made in black and has lace insetting across the bodice

meant to be loose and falling in drapes

This is a classic piece of 70s fashion - easy to wear today

but I think that it could be done by someone with some patience and sewing skills - the most difficult repair would be to the lower left area where the silk has separated from the stitching

I have provided a number of close up photos of the work it is quite impressive. I believe that this would have been worn by someone mourning the death of a loved one during the Victorian age. Sizing: The shawl is rectangular in shape, measuring 46 by 52, including the protruding edge shapes.
